Our Story

Inspired by a boy who refused to blend in.

RyTHIM Ready Dancewear was born from a simple truth witnessed year after year: boys—especially Black boys—deserve to feel seen, supported, and celebrated in the world of dance. Our story begins with Kameron, a bright, determined kid who fell in love with dance at the age of five. From his very first class, his passion was unmistakable. But so was something else—the lack of representation around him. Kameron often walked into studios as the only Black boy in the room. And while he embraced the challenge, the world didn’t always meet him halfway.

Shopping for dancewear became a constant struggle. Dance stores offered endless racks for girls yet shoved boys' options into a lonely corner—if they existed at all. The few items available rarely fit his body, didn’t reflect his style, and almost never matched his skin tone. Leotards were too long or too short, tights were too pale, and nothing felt truly made for him. As a growing dancer, that mattered. Confidence starts with feeling comfortable in your own skin—and in your own clothes.

As Kameron advanced in dance, his need for clothing that moved with him, supported him, and affirmed who he was became even clearer. And the more his family searched, the more obvious the problem became: boys' dancewear wasn’t an afterthought—it was barely a thought at all.

But Kameron didn’t shrink himself to fit the industry. He grew, stood taller, and danced harder. And watching him do so sparked a realization: If the dancewear industry wasn’t ready to make space for boys like Kameron, then it was time to build something new.

RyTHIM Ready Dancewear was created to change the narrative—not just for Kameron, but for every boy who has ever felt like the industry forgot about him. Especially boys of color who deserve to see themselves represented in their studios, on stages, and in the clothes they wear with pride.

This brand exists because every dancer deserves clothing that fits, feels good, and reflects who they are. This brand exists because representation matters. This brand exists because Boys Dance Too—and they deserve to be seen.
